Northern Tier Sports Report
Track and field gets going in full today, along with all Wyalusing sports.

TRACK AND FIELD

Wellsboro (Boys 1-0, Girls 1-0) at Towanda, 4 p.m.: The Knights open their season at home against the always tough Hornets. Both Wellsboro squads defeated NP-Mansfield last week.


Williamson (Boys 1-0, Girls 1-0) at Wyalusing, 4 p.m.: The Rams also open the season at home today. Last week Williamson swept Canton in a battle of the Warriors.


Troy at Canton (Boys 0-1, Girls 0-1), 4 p.m.: The Trojans will have to wait to show off their new track, but open the season on the road. Canton will be looking to rebound from their losses earlier in the week.


BASEBALL

Wyalusing at Towanda (0-1), 4:30 p.m.: An early season rivalry match-up as the Rams open their season on the road. Towanda is coming off a loss to Athens earlier in the week.


Muncy (2-0) at Canton (3-1), 4:30 p.m.: A match-up that has big District IV standings implications. Muncy is currently third in the Class AA standings with Canton fifth. The Warriors are coming off their first loss of the season, falling at Sayre.


SOFTBALL

Wyalusing at Sayre (0-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Rams will open the season on the road as they travel to the Valley. Sayre is coming off losses to Athens and Canton.
