NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: MARTIN HAS BIG NIGHT BUT TROY FALLS AT SOUTHERN COLUMBIA IN DISTRICT OPENER (February 19, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportCATAWISSA — Spencer Martin nearly had a triple-double but Troy came up short, 74-55, to Southern Columbia during the District IV, Class AAA Boys Basketball Tournament quarterfinals Thursday.
The Tigers led 38-20 at the half, and pushed that lead to as much as 62-35 going into the fourth, when Troy out scored them 20-12.
Martin had 15 points and 10 assists for a double-double, while also grabbing eight boards, with Trey Teribury adding 13 points.
Pryor Teribury had nine points - all on 3-pointers - to go with two steals, as Aidan Lawrence notched six points.
Landon Cole had four points, with Josiah Pesesky, Cameron Morey, and Evan Allen netting two points each. Morey also grabbed four boards with James Roy getting two steals.
Southern led 20-11 after one as they hit four 3-balls in the opening frame. Trey had all 11 Trojan points - including three 3-pointers.
The Tigers had nine field goals in the second quarter as they out scored Troy 18-9, while Martin led Troy with seven points in the quarter.
The Trojans found their offense in the third, netting 15 points as six different players scored. Martin had five points to lead the charge, though Southern had their best offensive quarter with 24 points.
Pryor hit all three of his deep balls to lead the Trojans in the fourth.
