BASEBALL
Canton (8-2) at Sullivan County (2-2-1), 11 a.m.: The Warriors are on the verge of qualifying for districts at the halfway point of their season. They’ve gone 3-0 this week, including a big win over Wyalusing.
CV (4-7) at Towanda (1-6), 11 a.m.: The Knights are coming off a tough loss to Canton where they led 7-5 before giving up a 9-run inning. The Indians are trying to work their way back to .500.
Troy (3-4) at Sayre (7-0), 2 p.m.: The Trojans are riding a 2-game win streak as they roll into the valley. Sayre, though, hasn’t played a close game yet this season as they look to stay undefeated.
Athens (4-5) at Wyalusing (4-1), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats have hit a rough patch as of late, recently getting beat by their cross-town rivals for the second time this season. The Rams are riding a 2-game win streak into their fourth game of the week.
Wellsboro (5-4) at NEB (1-4), 4:30 p.m.: Another tough game for the Panthers, who continue a tough early slate of games this season. The Hornets will be looking to stay in the Division-I title race with a win.
SOFTBALL
Wyalusing (2-2) at Williamsport Tournament: The Rams are looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Loyalsock on Friday.
Canton (6-4) at Sullivan County (1-3), 11 a.m.: After an 0-2 start to the year the Warriors are 6-2 as they pick up steam for the second half of the season. They face another possible district playoff opponent in the Griffins.
CV (7-1) at Towanda (2-5), 11 a.m.: The Knights will be looking to break a 3-game losing streak as they host the red hot Indians. CV’s only loss was to Athens early in the season as they battle NEB for the division title.
Troy (2-4) at Sayre (0-7), 4 p.m.: The Trojans are on a 2-game win streak as they work their way back to .500, coming off a come from behind win against Towanda. Sayre is still searching for their first win.
Wellsboro (7-2) at NEB (4-0), 4:30 p.m.: A big match-up between two of the top teams in the league. The Hornets recently beat NP-Liberty, while the Panthers are coming off an extra innings win over Wyalusing.
