SHIPPENSBURG — Wyalusing's Jonathan Earle finished up his high school career at the PIAA Track and Field Championships Saturday.

Earle tied for 12th overall at 13-feet even. He got his first two heights - 12-feet, 6-inches and 13-feet - with no misses but at 13-feet, 6-inches he came close but couldn't quite get over.

It was unique conditions for this year's competition. The constant rain forced the competitors to vault in the Shippensburg gym, and the girls Class AA competition in the morning went long, forcing the boys to start more than an hour late.
