NTL BASEBALL: CV USES 7-RUN INNING TO DOWN WYALUSING (2021-04-26)

WYALUSING — Short-handed Wyalusing fell to Cowanesque Valley 15-3 in six innings, during NTL baseball action Monday.

CV scored three runs in the first three innings, but in the top of the fourth the Rams tied the game up at 3-3.

Then the Indians rattled off seven runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 10-3 lead. They would score four runs over the next two innings to get the victory.

Wyalusing pounded out nine hits, led by Trehnon Hugo (2-for-3), and CJ Carr (2-for-3). Chase Houser (1-for-3), Spencer Krewson (1-for-3), Zach Shaffer (1-for-3), Mitchell Burke (1-for-2), and Casey God (1-for-3) also had hits.

Carr, God, and Vanderpool had the three Wyalusing runs.

Shaffer, and Hugo both saw time on the mount. They combined to allow 15 runs, 14 hits, and nine walks, while striking out six.

In the third Carr, God, and Hugo all had hits during their rally to score three runs, with Vanderpool reaching on a walk.

Wyalusing has postponed their game at Williamson on Wednesday, so their next game on the slate is Friday, a double-header at NP-Mansfield with a 3 p.m. start.
