NTL TRACK & FIELD: NEB HAS STRONG PERFORMANCES IN LOSS TO WILLIAMSON (2021-04-27)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWESTFIELD — Northeast Bradford boys and girls track and field were beaten by Williamson in NTL action Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers lost 92-27, while the boys fell 106-39.
On the girls’ side Melanie Shumway won the 400 (1:06.9), and the 800 (2:46.2), while taking third in the 100 (14.5).
Paige Howell (98-feet, 7-inches) won the discus, with teammate Emma Neuber (26-feet, 4-inches) winning the shot put. Howell (22-feet, 8-inches) was third.
Howell (85-feet, 11-inches) won the javelin, too.
On the boys’ side Dan Williams (138-feet, 7-inches) won the javelin as teammate Dan Seeley (108-feet, 1-inch) was third.
Seeley (43-feet, 4-inches), Williams (38-feet, 3-inches), and Cameron Baker (34-feet, 11 1/2-inches) swept the shot put.
Seeley (128-feet, 1-inch) also won the discus with Williams (88-feet, 5-inches) third.
Austin Kithcart (5-feet, 4-inches) won the high jump, and the 110 hurdles (19.3). He was second in the 300 hurdles at 49.3.
Will Cooley (1:03.1) was third in the 400 meters.
