NTL BASEBALL: WYALUSING REBOUNDS WITH WIN OVER WILLIAMSON (2021-05-01)

TIOGA JUNCTION — Wyalusing baseball used a pair of 3-run innings to beat Williamson 6-1 in NTL baseball action Saturday.

The Rams scored three runs in the second, and three runs in the sixth, to go up 6-0. The Warriors would get a run in the bottom of the seventh to avoid the shutout.

Hunter Moss (3-for-4) had 2-RBI, and a run scored to lead the Rams, as Blake Morningstar (2-for-3), Spencer Krewson (2-for-2), and Nick Vanderpool (2-for-3) also had multi-hit games. Vanderpool scored a run, and knocked in two runs, Krewson scored, and had an RBI, and Morningstar crossed home twice.

Chase Houser (1-for-4), Nick Kelly (1-for-2), and Caden Engisch (1-for-1) also had hits. Houser had an RBI, as Kelly scored a run.

Trehnon Hugo got the win on the mound, going 6 2/3-innings to strikeout 11, with six hits, one walk, and one earned run. Krewson pitched the final third, walking one.

Wyalusing will host Towanda on Monday with a 4:30 p.m. start.
