NTL TRACK & FIELD: TROY GIRLS EDGE WILLIAMSON, BOYS FALL (2021-05-04)

WESTFIELD — The Troy girls track and field team came away with a narrow 82-68 win over Williamson in NTL action Tuesday, as the boys fell 97-53.

For the girls, Troy had the edge in distance (22-5), hurdles (10-8), relays (10-5), and jumps (20-16), while Williamson had the edges in sprints (16-11), and throws (18-9).


Troy’s 4x400 won in 4:51 with a team of Julia Colton, Molly Davison, Elizabeth Geer, and Bailey Johnson. Their 4x800 relay won in 13:03 with a team of Sydney Taylor, Natalie Williams, Lilly DePew, and Colton.


Troy’s Anneliese Getola (14.1) was second in the 100, and in the 200 at 29.6, as teammate Grace Sherman (30.0) took third.


Johnson (1:12.7) and Rachele Ainey (1:13.3) went second and third in the 400.


Colton (2:51) won the 800, with DePew (2:59) in second.


Taylor (6:20) won the 1600, as DePew (6:41) was third, while Taylor (14:13), and DePew (15:28) went 1-2 in the 3200.


Getola (19.0) won the 100 hurdles, as Geer (55.0) won the 300 hurdles.


Hope Houseknecht (25-feet, 11 1/2-inches) won the shot put, with teammate Morgan Harkness (24-feet, 7-inches) second. Harkness (67-feet, 11-inches) was third in the discus.


Olivia Call (13-feet, 2 1/2-inches) and Ainey (12-feet, 8-inches) went second and third in the long jump, as Geer (28-feet, 2 3/4-inches) won the triple jump. Call (4-feet, 6-inches) was second in the high jump.


Call (8-feet), and Johnson (7-feet, 6-inches) went 1-2 in the pole vault.


On the boys’ side Troy’s Wyatt Hodlofski, Colin Loveland, Isais Watkins, and Shammar Wolslagle won the 4x100 relay in 51.7.


Troy’s 4x800 relay of Jacob Hinman, Seth Seymour, Owen Williams, and Brayden Spalding won in 10:10.


Troy’s Ridge Spencer (11.7) won the 100, as Loveland (12.5) was third. Hodlofski (1:04), and Blake Shedden (1:06.2) went second and third in the 400.


Williams (2:26) was third in the 800 and in the 3200 at 11:44.3.


Dustin Hagin (17.0) won the 110 hurdles, with Austin Smith (20.9) third. Hagin (43.7) won the 300 hurdles as well.


Hunter Kulago (87-feet, 1-inch) was second in the discus, with Spencer (17-feet, 4 1/2-inches) third in the long jump.


Loveland (36-feet) won the triple jump, while Hodlofski (33-feet, 8-inches) was third.


Shedden (5-feet, 2-inches) won the high jump, and Seymour (9-feet, 6-inches) won the pole vault.
