Finally, the District IV softball Championships will play on the last date possible, with the PIAA playoffs starting on Monday.

SOFTBALL

CLASS A

Montgomery (19-1) vs NEB (15-0) at Elm Park, 1 p.m.: The Panthers will look to get back on top of the district, but will have to go through Faith Persing, who has 200-strikeouts on the year. It should be a tight pitcher’s duel.

CLASS AA

Wyalusing (12-8) vs Line Mountain (18-3) at Elm Park, 1 p.m.: On the other side of the park the Rams, and Eagles will have their rematch from two years ago. Wyalusing struggled to hit the ball in 2019, but their bats came alive in the semifinal, with 11 hits en route to 11 runs.
