LEGION: TOWANDA COMES UP SHORT AGAINST SAYRE (2021-07-07)

WYSOX — Towanda lost to Sayre 3-1 in Legion baseball action on Wednesday.

Sayre jumped ahead with two runs in the top of the second inning, with Towanda cutting it to 2-1 with a run in the bottom half.

Sayre then scored a run in the seventh for the 3-1 final.

Tanner Kunkle (1-for-2) scored a run, as Evan Johnson had a double. Chase Parker also had a hit for Towanda.

Octavious Chacona struck out five in the loss, as he went the distance. He allowed two walks, seven hits, and three runs, one of which was earned.
