NTL VOLLEYBALL: NEB RALLIES PAST TROY IN 5 GAMES (2020-09-22)

TROY - After falling down 2-0 NEB rattled off three straight games to edge Troy 3-2 in NTL volleyball action Tuesday.

The Trojans took the first two sets 25-19 and 25-20 but NEB won the third set big 25-11.

In the fourth set the Panthers held off Troy 25-22 and eventually got the win 15-10 in the deciding set.

Emily Susanj had 15 kills and 22 digs to lead the Panthers while Chloe Baker added eight kills. 

Julianna Susanj notched 23 points, seven aces and 11 digs as Lauryn Schultz had 10 points, three aces and 21 digs. Kylie Lewis chipped in with 22 digs.

For the Trojans Vanessa Thomas had nine points, five kills, seven assists and five digs as Dalainey Braund had eight kills, three points and two blocks.

Meredith Cole chipped in with eight kills, six points and 15 digs; Sierra Yaggie notched 12 points, 18 assists and 16 digs; Allee Dutrow had nine points, two kills and 30 digs; Annie Rosanelli had four kills and eight digs; Macy Vroman had a kill, two blocks and two points and Diana Samuels chipped in with two points.

NEB won the JV match 25-16 and 28-26. Lauren Lewis and Adrian Chobot had seven points and five aces a piece while Thailey Franklin added seven points and three aces.

For the Trojans Jalayna Young had three kills and one point while Madison Vargas chipped in with two kills, seven points and seven digs.

Also for Troy Lindsey Alexander and Rachel Jackson each had a hill while Jackson added two digs and seven points. Lydia Lewis, Tyra Williams and Sara Zimmerman had three digs each as Williams had two points and Zimmerman added one. Taleka Stahle chipped in with a point and a dig as well.
