SIGHTS FROM THE SIDELINES: LOOKING FORWARD TO A NEW BEGINNING (2020-08-30)

For the past 12 years I’ve had the pleasure of covering NTL sports.

I’ve seen a Northeast Bradford team win a state cross-country title in 2012, multiple athletes win individual state titles in track and field (NEB’s Rob Robbins) and wrestling (Troy’s Sheldon Seymour, twice, and Wyalusing’s Creighton Edsell).

Countless others have earned state place medals, district titles, team district titles and league championships.

Through it all, I’ve experienced the highs and lows, and have been able to share them through my writing and photography.

Starting today, I plan to do that on the Northern Tier Sports Report. I hope that I can bring excellent coverage to the five teams I will cover – Canton, NEB, Towanda, Troy, Wyalusing – as they begin another sports season, no matter how long it lasts.

Our readers will also find links to the Athens and Sayre pages on Valley Sports Report, allowing you access to all seven Bradford County teams on this site.

If you’ve enjoyed my coverage in the past please continue to check it out at www.NTSportsReport.com. Fall previews will be up as teams begin their seasons with results, stories and photos to follow. I’ll even toss in an opinion here and there.

This is my first time running a web site so I’m sure there will be a few hiccups along the way, but I promise to give the same level of commitment to this year and beyond as I have for the past 12 years.
