NTL GIRLS' SOCCER: JAYNE'S HAT TRICK LEADS WYALUSING PAST NP-MANSFIELD (21 PHOTOS) (2020-09-23)

WYALUSING - Hailey Jayne had a hat trick as Wyalusing blanked NP-Mansfield 7-0 at home in NTL girls’ soccer action Wednesday.

Jayne also had an assist to go with her three goals while Olivia Spencer scored twice with Olivia Haley and Marissa Johnson also finding the back of the net.

Wyalusing controlled possession early but the NP-Mansfield defense held. Then, with 18:18 left, there was a foul in the box, giving the Rams a penalty kick. Marissa Johnson buried it in the right corner to put them up 1-0.

Then, just before the half, Jayne hit a long shot that arched under the cross-bar for a goal. Spencer had an assist on the 4:55 goal.

After the half the flood gates opened up for Wyalusing.

Haley scored just under seven minutes into the half off a Jayne helper followed by Spencer scoring less than a minute later.

Jayne then had back to back goals at 30:27 and 27:36, the first off a Faith Laudermilch assist.

Spencer scored the final goal off an Alexis Capone assist with 2:28 left in the game.

Wyalusing had a 43-8 edge in shots while goalie Pearl O’Connor made seven saves for the clean sheet.
