Northern Tier Sports ReportA soggy day that has cancelled one district soccer match already. The Line Mountain at Wyalusing preliminary has been moved from today to tomorrow, Wednesday, with a 4 p.m. start.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
NEB (11-7) vs Juniata Christian (8-5) at Selinsgrove, 4 p.m.: The match got moved to the turf field at Selinsgrove due to today’s weather. The rain isn’t supposed to be as heavy down there, so there’s a good chance the match gets in. The winner will play in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
VOLLEYBALL
NP-Liberty (13-1) at Towanda (8-9), 7:15 p.m.: The Knights’ regular season finale, one they’ll need to win to make the district playoffs. NPL hasn’t lost a league match in five years, but have had close calls this season.
Williamson (12-5) at NEB (10-5), 7:15 p.m.: The a match-up between two playoff teams. NEB is coming off a win over Sayre, while the Warriors just fell to Galeton, whom NEB is slated to face in the playoffs.
CV (1-15) at Canton (12-2), 7:15 p.m.: The Warriors need just two more wins to clinch another NTL Division-II title, with the first tonight as they host the Indians.
