NTL SWIMMING & DIVING: TOWANDA BOYS HAVE 2 WINNERS IN DUAL MEET AT DANVILLE (2022-01-24)

DANVILLE — The Towanda boys’ swimmers had a pair of winners at Danville as the two teams fell in dual meet action Monday.

Luke Tavani (6:22.57) won the 500 free, as Alex Lantz (6:40.18) was second, while Nate Spencer (1:20.19) won the 100 breaststroke.


The Towanda boys fell 51-28 to the Ironman, while the girls lost 81-10.


Tavani (2:18.23) was second in the 200 free, as Lantz (2:26.75) took third. Spencer (29.24) was third in the 50 free, with teammate Sean Lauber (34.23) fifth.


Eric McGee (1:04.52) was fourth in the 100 free, while Lauber (1:15.96) came in sixth. A team of Spencer, McGee, Tavani, and Lantz took fourth in the 200 free relay in 1:58.13.


McGee (1:24.29) was fourth in the 100 backstroke, with the team of Tavani, Lauber, Lantz, and Spencer taking third in the 400 free relay in 4:39.43.


For the girls, Marisa Wise (3:05.57) was fifth in the 200 IM, with Julianna Varner (28.66) third in the 50 free; Noelle Rogers (37.37) took sixth.


Varner (1:03.86), and Wise (1:09.41) were third and fourth in the 100 free, with Zoie Lamphere (7:13.46) fifth in the 500 free.


The Towanda 200 free relay of Wise, Rogers, Rylee Martin, and Varner was fourth in 2:13.67. The foursome of Wise, Rogers, Martin, and Lamphere took third in the 400 free relay in 5:16.36.
