NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL ACTION: NEB USES FAST START TO TOP SAYRE (2022-01-24)

SAYRE — The Northeast Bradford girls’ basketball team won their eighth straight game, besting Sayre 55-5 during NTL Division-II action Monday.

Alena Beebe had 11 points - including three 3-pointers - lead NEB, while Kate O’Connor and Maisie Neuber both scored 10. Kayleigh Thoman finished with eight points, as Anna Towner and Lilah Hughes had four points each. 

Lani Thomas, Julia Brown, Kelsey Moore, and Becca VanDeMark all score two points.

It was 24-2 after the first quarter, as Neuber and Beebe had eight points each. The Panther added 17 more points in the second quarter, behind eight from O’Connor, for a 41-5 lead.

The Panthers will host Wellsboro on Wednesday.
