NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TROY USES BIG SECOND QUARTER TO ROLL PAST SAYRE (2022-01-25)

TROY — Troy used a 24-point second quarter to roll past Sayre 62-39 during NTL boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

They found themselves down 10-8 after the first horn, but rallied for a 32-16 halftime lead and never looked back.


Mason Imbt led the Trojans with 18 points, while Ty Barrett scored 15. Justice Chimics and Ethan VanNoy both netted seven, Colin Loveland had four, with Zeb Oldroyd scoring three. 


Evan Woodward, Lance Heasley, and Anthony Foust all had two points a piece, with Devin Selleck, and Eason Teribury with one point each.


Dom Fabbri led Sayre with 14 points.


Fabbri helped the Redskins get off to the fast start with four points in the first quarter to get them the 2-point lead.


In the second Barrett went off for 11 points to help them rally, while Imbt scored five to give them the 16 point lead at the break.


Imbt then propelled their big third quarter, netting 10 of their 18 points as they built a 50-22 lead into the fourth.


The Trojans will stay at home the rest of the week, with Waverly on Thursday, and then welcome Williamsport on Saturday.
