NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NEB PICKS UP NINTH STRAIGHT WIN, TOPS WELLSBORO (2022-01-26)

ROME — NEB assisted on 20 of 22 field goals as they rolled past Wellsboro 54-29 during NTL girls’ basketball action Wednesday.

Kayleigh Thoman had a double-double of 15 points and 11 assists to lead the Panthers, while Maisie Neuber finished with 18 points, seven boards, four steals, four assists, and two blocks.

Alena Beebe netted nine points to go with three assists, and two steals, while Kate O’Connor had eight points, and five boards.

Julia Brown finished with four points, three rebounds, and two steals, as Emma Neuber had two steals as well.

The Panthers’ advantage in steals allowed them to take 18 more shots than the Hornets, going 22-or-49, while Wellsboro was 11-for-31.

NEB will hit the road as they travel to Troy on Friday.
