COLLEGE: TRIO OF NTL PLAYERS COMPETING FOR LOCK HAVEN SOFTBALL (2022-03-30)

Three area players are on the Lock Haven University softball roster. Troy’s Riley McClellan is a redshirt sophomore, while her sister, Hunter McClellan, along with Wyalusing’s Hailey Jayne, are both freshmen.

So far this season Riley is hitting .224, with two home runs, one triple, two doubles, and 6-RBI, as Lock Haven has gone 7-7 on the year. She also boasts a .954 fielding percentage at shortstop.

Jayne, listed as a utility player, has pitched in one game, a 9-8 loss to Clarion. She had no strikeouts, one walk, five hits, and four runs, two of which were earned, in 2 2/3-innings of work for a no decision.

Hunter, also a utility player, has scored a run as a pinch runner this year.
