NTL SOFTBALL: TOWANDA COMES UP SHORT AGAINST SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT (2022-05-14)
Northern Tier Sports ReportSOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — Towanda managed just three hits in their 12-0 loss in five innings to South Williamsport during non-league softball action Saturday.
South scored one in the first, then tacked on seven more in the second. They added four more in the third to get to 12 runs.
The Mounties lead the standings for the District IV, Class AA playoffs at the moment.
Brea Overpeck (1-for-2), Shaylee Greenland (1-for-2), and Aleah Johnson (1-for-2) all had hits for the Knights.
Johnson took the loss, allowing 14 hits, two walks, and 12 runs, eight of which were earned.
The Knights will travel to Blue Ridge on Tuesday.
