DISTRICT IV BASEBALL BRACKETS HAVE BEEN RELEASED (2022-05-18)

Baseball playoff brackets are out, as they’re wasting no time getting the games going.

CLASS A

Three teams have qualified for districts, with top seed Benton getting a bye into the finals. Second seed CV will face third seed St. John Neumann, a rematch of last year’s title game, on Monday, May 23 at 4:30 p.m., either at Mansfield University or Canton High School.

The title game will be Thursday, May 26 at Bowman Field with a 4:30 p.m. start time.

CLASS AA

Top seeded Sayre will play on Friday, 4:30 p.m., as they host eighth seeded Montgomery. All the rest of the games will be played on Saturday.

Second seed Wyalusing hosts seventh seed Line Mountain at 1 p.m., sixth seeded Canton will travel to South Williamsport with a 4 p.m. start, and fourth seeded Muncy hosts fifth seeded Southern Columbia at 11 a.m.

The semifinals will be on Tuesday, May 24 at a time and place to be determined, while the title game will be Saturday, May 28 at Bowman Field with an 11 a.m. start.

CLASS AAA

There are five teams in this bracket, which starts Saturday as fourth seed Loyalsock hosts fifth seed Mt. Carmel at 11 a.m.

The semifinals will be Tuesday, May 24 as third seed Wellsboro takes on second seed Hughesville. Top seed Central Columbia will face the winner of Loyalsock and Mt. Carmel.

The title game is slated to be Friday, May 27 at 4:30 p.m. at Bowman Field.

CLASS AAAA

There are five teams in this bracket, with fifth seed Athens traveling to fourth seed Lewisburg on Saturday with an 11 a.m. start.

The semifinals will be played on Wednesday, May 25, as second seed Midd-West takes on third seed Danville at 4 p.m. down in Central Columbia. They will be followed by top seed Montoursville, who will face the winner of Lewisburg and Athens, with a 6:30 p.m. start.

The title game is on Saturday at Bowman Field with a 2 p.m. start time.
