Troy pitcher Blakelee Brown struck out 13 to get the win, while NEBall pitcher Kinley Thoman fanned 12 in the loss.

Maynard put NEBall up with a lead-off home run in the second inning. That stuck until the fifth when Kneller led off with a hit for Troy, and later scored.

In the sixth Troy’s Nora Harris was hit by a pitch, with Kneller coming in to run for her. Kneller would then score the go ahead run off Pepper’s hit. Pepper would later score on Allen’s 2-out double to make it 3-1.
