LITTLE LEAGUE: TOWANDA MINORS USE BIG 5TH INNING TO TOP SOUTHERN TIOGA (2022-07-05)
Northern Tier Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Towanda minors used a 5-run fifth inning to propel themselves past Southern Tioga 10-5 during all-star baseball bracket play on Tuesday.
Drew Maghamez went 2-for-3 with a double, 3-RBI, and two runs scored for Towanda, while Hudson Nash was 1-for-3 with a double, and an RBI.
Wyatt Jones went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Cash Raffin was 1-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Brayden Cox went 1-for-4 with a run scored, Nolyn Tuttle was 1-for-3 with two runs scored, while Arlo Snyder had 2-RBI and crossed home.
Maghamez went the first inning and a third to strikeout three, while Tuttle went two innings to strikeout four. Jones went 1 1/3-innings with four strikeouts, while Nash went the final 1 1/3-innings with two strikeouts.
With the win Towanda stays alive, and will play again on Thursday.
