NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: NEB WINS BOYS, GIRLS TITLES AT LASAGNA (2022-09-17)

WYALUSING — It was a strong showing for NEB runners no matter how you look at it. They placed the top two individual varsity winners, and won both varsity team titles.

Gracelyn Laudermilch (20:43.5) led a 1-2-5 NEB finish in the girls’ race, as the Panthers won the team title with 28 points. Wyalusing (47) was second.


Anaiah Kolesar (21:04.3) took second, Lilah Hughes (22:04.3) came in fifth, Amelia Kapr (22:22.5) finished eighth, and Melanie Shumway (24:12.2) took 16th.


In the boys’ race Creed Dewing (16:48) held off Elk Lake’s Kendel Jones (16:56.4) for the individual title, while the Panthers held off a plethora of teams for the team championship. The Panthers finished with 60 points, followed by Towanda (64), Elk Lake (65), Wyalusing (70) and Northwest (89).


Norman Strauss (18:46.5) took ninth, while Dayton Russell (18:51.4) was 11th. Aiden Kapr (19:41.5) came in 17th, and Ryan Jones (20:13.8) finished 23rd.


NEB’s Kara Dughi (12:06) was third in the junior high race, while the girls’ team took fourth with 76 points.


Jackson Martin (11:24.4) was fourth in the junior high boys’ race.
