NTL VOLLEYBALL: TOWANDA SWEEPS NEB (2022-09-26)

TOWANDA — Towanda avenged a loss to Northeast Bradford from earlier in the season by sweeping the Panthers 3-0 during NTL volleyball action Monday.

The Knights pulled away to win the first set 25-19. They looked ready to cruise to a win in the second set, but NEB tied it up at 23-all.

However, Towanda scored the final two points to take it 25-23.

The Knights then finished off the win with a 25-21 third set.

Shaylee Greenland had eight digs, 10 assists, one kill, and 14 points, while Paige Manchester finished with nine digs, seven kills, two blocks, and 11 points.

Gracie Schoonover had seven kills, and a block, as Winter Saxer finished with two digs, four kills, four blocks, and three points.

Brea Overpeck notched four digs, four assists, five kills, one block, and four points, with Aziza Ismailova getting 12 digs.

Addie Maynard had three digs, one kill, and three points, Kaitlyn Williams finished with a kill and a block, and Brynn Woodruff had three digs, to go with four points.

For NEB Abby O’Connor had nine kills with two blocks, as Emma Neuber finished with eight kills, and two digs.

Kelsea Moore had six digs, and eight assists, Alexis Corter had three kills, and a block, Toni Herb had six kills, and Kiarra DeLancey notched 23 digs.

Towanda travels to Williamson on Tuesday while NEB hosts Canton.
