NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: FORMER COACH VANNOY BACK AT THE HELM FOR CANTON (2022-11-23)

CANTON — A familiar face is taking over the Canton girls’ basketball team, as former coach Ryan VanNoy is back at the helm.

“I’m extremely excited,” VanNoy said about being back at it. “These girls were the first girls that did our youth program when I started that up. They were fifth graders. Then I had them in junior high, and we have a big senior class, and I’m super excited to be working with them again.”

VanNoy has been doing a lot with the Canton girls’ basketball program for the last decade, so he felt it was the right time to get back into varsity coaching.

“A lot of the kids that have been in the youth program, and gone up to junior high, and now at the varsity level are still in the program,” he said. “We’re getting better, I think. Our youth program’s getting stronger, our junior high is getting stronger, and our varsity is getting stronger, and I just want to keep the ball rolling.”
