A busy day with district duals wrestling, girls’ basketball, and swimming action in Towanda.

WRESTLING

Wyalusing at Towanda, 7 p.m.: The rivals meet again tonight at 7 p.m. to decide who goes to Milton on Saturday. The Knights won the first match 40-27 thanks to some late wins.


Milton at Canton, 7 p.m.: The third ranked Warriors host Milton for their opening round match. Canton has just two losses on the year as they look to advance to the quarters for the second consecutive season.


GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Towanda (12-4) at Wellsboro (6-9), 7:15 p.m.: The Knights will look to remain undefeated as they head out west to continue their divisional schedule. Wellsboro is trying to hold on to the eighth seed in the district standings as they’re coming off a loss to Athens.


Williamson (5-10) at Troy (11-5), 7:15 p.m.: the Trojans have won three of their last four games as they try and keep their division title hopes alive. The Warriors have won two of their last three, including a tough one to Towanda.


NEB (12-3) at Sayre (4-13), 6 p.m.: The Panthers can come close to clinching another divisional title tonight with a win by Sayre, and a loss from NP-Liberty. The Panthers defeated Sayre at home the first time around.


Athens (12-5) at Wyalusing (5-11), 7:15 p.m.: It was a tough battle the first time around in Athens as the Rams look to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Wildcats survived a tough win over at Canton last Saturday.


NP-Liberty (8-8) at Canton (7-10), 7:15 p.m.: The two split their first two meetings, with Canton holding onto the eighth spot in the district standings by their fingernails. NPL is currently riding a 2-game win streak.


SWIMMING & DIVING

Athens, Bloomsburg at Towanda, 4:30 p.m.: The first of back to back home meets for Towanda as they take welcome Bloomsburg from down South. The boys recently earned a close win over Lewisburg in dual meet action.
