TROY — Troy led early but hit an offensive drought in their 45-19 loss to Jersey Shore in non-league girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Lady Trojans led 7-5 after the first quarter behind five points from Hannah Zimmerman. However, over the next two quarters they scored just six points as Jersey Shore netted 30 to pull away. 

Zimmerman had nine points to lead Troy while Sydney Taylor and Rachel Kingsley had four points a piece. Taylor added four steals and four offensive rebounds in the game with Kingsley grabbing five boards in the contest, four of them off the offensive glass.

Katie Lackey chipped in with two points and four rebounds.

Troy came up just short in the JV game, falling 23-22 as Lackey led the way with 12 points.

Troy travels to Wyalusing on Thursday with a 6 p.m. start.
