Northern Tier Sports Report
TOWANDA — Towanda overcame a slow start to roll past Williamson 65-19 in their season opener during NTL girls’ basketball action Thursday.

Erin Barrett had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Knights while Paige Manchester added 15 points, eight boards, five steals and four assists.

Amanda Horton chipped in with 10 points as Porschia Bennett finished with nine points, six boards and three steals.

Eliza Fowler, Gracie Schoonover and Ally Hurley all had four points while Bella Hurley had three points and four assists.

Lateisha Peterson led Williamson with 10 points as Taylor Jones scored four.

Towanda will host NP-Liberty on Saturday with 1:30 p.m. start.
