NTL GOLF: WYALUSING TIES FOR 7TH AT D4 TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS (2024-09-25)

MONTGOMERY — Wyalusing tied for seventh at the District IV, Class AA Team Competition on Wednesday.

The Rams saw four of their five guys shoot under 90 as finished with a 349. Mifflinburg (310) won with NP-Mansfield (319) and Towanda (327) second and third.

“They played as well as they could in the elements, the rain did not let up at all,” said Wyalusing coach Chad Romanowski. “Two out of the three were able to come in at the 88 mark, so we will now have four golfers at individual districts next week, which was my goal for the year to have more more golfers qualify this year than last and to make team districts. The team has worked so hard all season and I am glad they are being rewarded for their hard work with a team and individual district qualification.”

Conner Smith shot an 84 to lead the Rams, while Lucas Girven and Myles Kershner both carded an 88 to qualify. Hunter House was their last scorer with an 89, and had the team’s lone birdie on the par-5 14th hole.

Ashton VandeMark rounded out the team with a 96.
