NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: HOFFMAN LEADS TOWANDA PAST MILTON (2021-02-24)

TOWANDA — Kolby Hoffman scored nine of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as Towanda broke a 4-game losing streak in their 46-43 win over Milton during non-league boys’ basketball action Wednesday.

The Knights were down 23-17 at the half, using a 16-point third quarter to tie things up. Then Hoffman propelled them to the win in the fourth.

Logan Lambert finished with 10 points as Elias Shrawder netted seven. Octavious Chacona added three, Mason Hartmann netted two and Justin Schoonover finished with one.

Hoffman had four of Towanda’s five first quarter points as they were down by nine. In the second Hoffman scored six points, while three other Knights also got into the scorebook, to help them pull to within in six points midway through.

Lambert and Shrawder spurred their third quarter rally as both had two 3-pointers for six points each. Then in the fourth Hoffman brought the game home.

Milton edged out the JV game 41-40. Teagan Irish led Towanda with 11 points as Shrawder finished with 10.

The Knights will host Athens Thursday with a 7:30 p.m. start.
