NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA'S MANCHESTER NAMED PLAYER OF THE YEAR (2021-03-21)

Towanda’s Paige Manchester was named the NTL Player of the Year by the coaches on Sunday.

Manchester led the Knights to an undefeated regular season record as they earned their second straight NTL Division-I title.

Fellow Knight Porschia Bennett was named the Defensive Player of the Year while NEB’s Maisie Neuber was named the Offensive Player of the Year.

Wyalusing’s Olivia Leichliter took home the 6th Player of the Year, with Athens coach Brian Miller earning Coach of the Year accolades.

The Large School First Team consists of Athens’ Kayleigh Miller and Caydence Macik, Towanda’s Erin Barrett, Wyalusing’s Callie Bennett, Wellsboro’s Emma Coolidge and Troy’s Sydney Taylor.

On the Second Team are Wyalusing’s Catherine Brown and Madison Putnam, Athens’ Megan Collins, Wellsboro’s Bailey Monks, Towanda’s Amanda Horton and Troy’s Rachel Kingsley.

The Small School First Team is made up of NEB’s Lauryn Jones, Kayleigh Thoman and Alena Beebe, Williamson’s TaylorRae Jones and Lateisha Peterson and NPL’s Eva Rice.

On the Second team are Canton’s Reagan Kelley and Aislyn Williams, NPL’s Elizabeth Ritchie and Kiersten Mitstifer and CV’s Abby Ackley and Paisley Nudd.
