AOW: TOWANDA'S THOMPSON, CANTON/TROY'S MCROBERTS HAVE BIG WEEKS (August 31, 2025)

The first full week of action didn’t disappoint with plenty of top notch performances to kick off the Fall sports season.

On the boys’ side Towanda’s Boom Thompson had a busy week. On the links he shot a 38 to help keep the Knights undefeated in NTL action, while on the cross-country course he took 10th at the Cliff Robbins Invitational, earning him the Male Athlete of the Week honors.

For the girls Canton/Troy’s Alexis McRoberts had a big week. On the pitch she helped the Trojans to a 3-0 week, racking up eight goals and an assist, while on the football field she was 2-for-2 on extra points for the Warriors, making her the Female Athlete of the week.
