Northern Tier Sports ReportThe Troy volleyball team are in the state playoffs for the first time since 2013 and right off the bat they get state power Holy Redeemer.
The match is at Holy Redeemer in Scranton on Tuesday with a 6 p.m. start.
The Royals come in 21-5 on the year as they beat Lake-Lehman 3-1 in the District II title match.
While they don’t have any common opponents with the Trojans, they did lose to Tunkhannock 3-1 earlier this year, and beat Selinsgrove 3-0.
Bella Boylan leads them in kills with 456 and a 46.3 kill percentage. She also has 62 blocks, and 171 digs on the season.
Freshman Elizabeth Bilbow has 743 assists, 251 points, and 52 aces, with Gracie Griffins adding 200 points, 175 digs, and 61 aces.
Gillian Parsons has chipped in with 62 blocks.
