It was a tough season for Wyalusing football as they went 2-8 on the season after coming in with hopes of making the district playoffs.
A few losses early put them behind the 8-ball and couldn’t quite find the consistency they needed through all four quarters.
They opened with a close loss to NP-Mansfield (21-14) but they rallied for a big win over playoff team CV (30-14).
After that they had four losses in a low, including a nail-biter to playoff bound Wellsboro (14-6).
The Rams did have a happy homecoming as they beat Canton (42-7) but ended the season with three straight losses, including a tough battle to Towanda (29-12) for the Bronze Helmet.
Jonathan Earle came up just short of 1,000-yards, running the ball 195 times for 935-yards and eight scores, while Ethan Vanderpool ran the ball 122 times for 504-yards and five touchdowns.
QB Reuben Kinney was 25-for-81 for 532-yard with seven touchdowns and 10 picks, while running for 233-yards and a score on 80 carries.
Sophomore Andrew Taylor was Kinney’s top target, hauling in 11 catches for 280-yards and five touchdowns.
Earle had three catches for 106-yards and two touchdowns, while Vanderpool caught seven passes for 98-yards.
Looking ahead the Rams say good-bye to 10 key seniors so next year’s squad will have plenty of new faces. However, they return Taylor, Jasai Latini, and Jesse Lamb to build around for the 2026 campaign.
