Penn College Wrestling headed north to Ithaca, New York, for the Ithaca Invitational. In action was Nick Woodruff for the Wildcats. When the brackets came out, Woodruff found himself with a top 4 seed, coming in with the fourth seed.
In the opening round, Woodruff faced Chris Folsom of Norwich. Woodruff with the fall in 6:59. In the second round, Woodruff faced off with Cormac Horlbogen of Castleton. Woodruff again with the fall in 1:02 to win his second match of the day. In the quarterfinal match, Woodruff faced Oliver Parker of Springfield, where he would fall by a major decision 13-4.
Woodruff would finish day one going 2-1. When action resumes in the morning, Woodruff will take on Jack Brown of Castleton in the consolation rounds.
