It wasn’t the season Troy boys’ soccer expected back in August, as they went 0-18 on the season, but had some big moments during the year.
The Trojans had plenty of near misses during the year, their first coming against NPL (2-1) at home, then against Towanda (4-2), also at home.
Their best game of the year was an overtime loss on the road to Wellsboro (3-2). They also played NEB (4-2) tough at home, and once again battled NPL (1-0) to a one score contest.
Individually keeper Timothy Hornung was a bright spot as he finished with over 750 career saves.
Gavin Lykon-Leffler continued to be one of the top players in the league, while they also got good contributions from Emmitt Cole, Landon Jenkins, Trevor Swain, Ethan Hoffman, Landon Lee, and Aaron Prouty.
Looking towards 2026 Troy loses five seniors but returns a big junior class of eight players. They also expect to bring in some munch needed freshmen to fill out their bench.
