It was a dream season for Towanda golfers, with the boys knocking off Athens to be league champs, while the girls also brought home a banner.

The boys went 35-0 in the league and 37-2 overall as the breezed to the NTL title. The District IV Team title was a little bit tougher as they edged Mifflinburg by four strokes to take home the Class AA championship.

For the girls, along with claiming the NTL title they also won the District IV team title, hitting the qualifying mark to go to states on the dot.

At regionals the Towanda boys ran into a buzzsaw in Scranton Prep, while the girls fell to Tunkhannock.

Individually, they had three state qualifiers with Boom Thompson and Graham Welles making it on the boys’ side, while Clara Glantz earned a state spot for the girls.

Thompson led the boys with an 82.4 average while Welles shot 83.4. Baylee Clark (85.9), Owen Savercool (86.0), and Jason Wickwire (93.6) rounded out their top five.

Freshman Olivia Heath (102.3) led the Lady Knights followed by Payton Perry (107.7), Izzy Repsher (107.8), and Clara Glantz (108.1), and Rosie Glantz (109.1).

The boys return everybody as they look to repeat at the league and district level, while the girls bring back four of their top five to keep their future looking bright.
