Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Canton boys junior high hoops picked up a pair of wins over NP-Liberty on Thursday, as the A team won 26-18, while the B team was victorious 30-9.
Drake VanNoy led the A team with 10 points while Parker Earle netted six. Luke Fitch had four, with Marshall Preston, Colby Colton, and Elli Jennings scoring two points apiece.
For the B team Patrick Deming had 13 points, while Will Schoonover scored four. Jaidan Ortiz, Xav Sowlell, Carson Stone, and Remy Blaney all netted two.
In junior high girls’ hoops action Canton beat NPL 38-6.
M. Walker had 10 points to lead Canton with R. Herman netting six. H. Shultz, B. Murphy, R. Lowry, and A. Coxhead all had four points apiece with L. Pepper scoring two.
