YOUTH: TOWANDA JH 'A' TEAM PICKS UP WINS OVER CV, CANTON (2025-11-25)

The Towanda A junior high girls’ hoops team got a pair of wins, beating CV (42-7) and Canton (33-17).

Against CV Mila Santiago had 12 points to lead the way followed by Nina Gallagher netting 11. Johna Miller and Bristol Edsell scoring six points apiece, Gemma Brown netted four, Katie Flynn had two, and Lily Bartholomew chipped in with one.

Daby Bish led CV with four points as Ashlynn Watkins scored three.

Santiago went off for 23 points in the win over Canton, as Gallagher scored six. Brown notched six, and Edsell added one.

Hailey Shultz and Abigail Coxhead had six points each to lead Canton as Emily Walters netted three, and Maycee Walker notched two.

Towanda dropped the two B games, falling to CV 9-3, and to Canton 18-8.

In the loss to CV Trinity Murray had two to lead the Knights as Kyleigh Mosier scored one. Claire Hess scored four to lead CV.

For Canton L. Pepper had 10 points as R. Harkness and R. Lowry had four points each.

Eli Thompson had four points to lead Towanda with Rose Smith and Zoey Benscoter scoring two points each.
