NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NEB BACKCOURT LEADS PANTHERS PAST BLUE RIDGE (2025-12-05)

NEW MILFORD — NEB’s backcourt of Leah Beebe and Kara Dughi combined for 36 points as the Panthers rolled past Blue Ridge, 51-37, during non-league girls’ hoops action Friday.

The Panthers led 15-10 after one, then used a 26-6 second quarter to pull away from Blue Ridge.

Dughi had a career high 19 points to go with two steals, with Beebe getting 17 points, four boards, three assists, and three steals.

Mallorie Maynard had seven points, five boards, and two steals, with Katrina Russell adding six points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Aurelia Kolesar chipped in with two points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Dughi had six points in the first quarter while Maynard added five as the Panthers took the 5-point lead at the first horn.

Dughi went off for 13 points in the second, while Beebe added 11 after going scoreless in the first frame to let NEB take control of the game.

In the second half Beebe hit of her three 3-balls as they coasted to the win.

NEB (1-0) will host Wellsboro on Wednesday.
