NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: JOHNS NETS 28 AS WYALUSING TOPS SAYRE (2025-12-17)

SAYRE — Wyalusing stayed unbeaten in NTL action as they rolled past Sayre, 74-12, during girls’ hoops action Wednesday.

Emily Johns had 28 points to lead the Rams with Brinley Sterling scoring nine as Treanna Nickeson and Jenna Morningstar had eight points apiece.

Alysha Botts and Emily Fowler both scored seven, Callee Warner had three, as Liz Kilmer, and Chloie Whipple rounded things out with two points each.

Rylee Lantz had six points to lead Sayre.

Wyalusing jumped out to a 29-4 first quarter lead behind 11 from Johns, while Fowler had all seven of hers in the frame.

The Rams out scored Sayre 22-4 in the second quarter with Johns adding 11 more, with Sterling netting five, to make it 52-8 at the half.

An 18 point third quarter from the Rams sealed the win, with Morningstar netting six to lead the way.

Wyalusing (2-2) opens divisional play at Troy on Friday.
