MONTOURSVILLE — Towanda won three weights as they fell to the defending District IV Duals Champions, Montoursville, 53-14, during non-league wrestling action Wednesday.

Hagen Jones (145) scored a fall, Gage Evans (152) earned a technical fall, and Tanner Vanderpool (139) stayed undefeated on the year with a decision.

For the Warriors Gage Wentzel (172), Hayden Harvey (189), Gabriel Vanderwall (285), and Ethan Amato (107) all had falls with Keira Dreese (121), and Brandon Eisenhour (114) scoring forfeits.

Coltyn Wagner (127), and Teli Bobotas (133) each had a tech fall as Mason Murray (215) and Blake Fry (160) each notched a major decision.

The match opened at 121 with a Dreese forfeit, followed by the Warriors’ two tech falls - Wagner beat Jaydon Stranger 16-1 in 2:19 followed by Bobotas getting Bryghton Yale 20-3 in 3:01.

Down 16-0 Vanderpool eked out a 5-0 win over Kaden Kleinman to get the Knights on the scoreboard, followed by Jones pinning Maxton Williamson in 1:32.

Evan’s 16-1 win over Hunter Gee in 4:00 cut the deficit to 16-14, but Montoursville took the final seven weights.

Fry won 11-4 over Reese Sluyter, then Wentzel got a fall against Dillon Sbragia in 47 seconds.

Harvey pinned Kolton McPeak in 1:08, with Murray beating Finn Brennan 16-4. At heavyweight Vanderwall pinned Dominik Miller in 5:41, followed by Amato getting a fall over Mason Harbst in 2:59.

Eisenhour ended the day with a forfeit.

Towanda (5-4) will host Williamson on Saturday with an 11 a.m. junior high start.
