LAPORTE — Sullivan County improved to 5-0 with their 45-32 win over Meadowbrook Christian during non-league boys’ hoops action Saturday.
The Griffins led by one going into the fourth when they out scored Meadowbrook 12-5 to get the win.
Lucas King had 10 points to lead Sullivan, with Colin King, Tucker Blasi, and Cayden Smithkors adding eight points apiece. King also had six boards, four assists, and three steals.
Jaiden Moore netted six points to go with six boards, as Dom Marotti notched three points, and Calen Sweigart chipped in with two.
Gavin Canelo, and Isaac Beltz had 10 points each to lead Meadowbrook.
Sullivan jumped out to a 16-13 first quarter lead behind six points from Lucas King - all on 3-balls.
Meadowbrook hung tough in the second, out scoring the Griffins 7-6 to make it a 22-20 game at the half.
In the third Beltz had all of Meadowbrook’s points as they made it a 1-point game.
Sullivan found their offense in the fourth, hitting seven field goals as Colin King, and Smithkors had four points each.
Sullivan won the JV game 42-20 behind 12 points from Ryder Lambert.
Sullivan County (6-0) will host CMVT on Tuesday.
