Northern Tier Sports ReportMILTON — NEB girls’ hoops got a tough road win over Milton during non-league girls’ hoops action Monday, beating the Black Panthers 37-27.
It was 10-10 after one when NEB out scored Milton 13-4 in the second to take a 9-point lead into the locker rooms.
They extended that lead to 32-21 going into the fourth, then held Milton to just six points in the fourth to get the win.
Mallorie Maynard had a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards to go with two steals, and two blocks for NEB, as Leah Beebe added nine points, seven steals, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Kara Dughi had seven points, and seven boards, while Katrina Russell added six points.
Aurelia Kolesar chipped in with five points, seven boards, and three assists.
