WINDSOR, N.Y. — Towanda’s Gage Evans took fourth to lead the Black Knight contingent at the Windsor Christmas Tournament Tuesday.
Evans (150) went 4-2 over the two days, along with Reese Sluyter (157), who finished sixth. Tanner Vanderpool (138) went 3-3 to take eighth.
After falling into the consolations Evans used two falls and a 12-0 major decision to get to the bronze medal match, where he was pinned.
Sluyter used a 5-0 decision to get to the consolation semifinals, then lost 6-4 there. He lost by tech fall in the fifth place match.
Vanderpool got a medical forfeit win into the medals, then lost 2-0 to fall into the seventh place match. He lost 1-0 there to take eighth.
