Lehigh was back at the SnakePit at Grace Hall, hosting rival Cornell. With the last six meetings being decided by less than five points and both teams getting most of their guys back in the lineup makes for a good duel.

The dual meet starting at 133 means the duel would end with Troy graduate Sheldon Seymour at 125. The match was tied at 17 with one match to go.  The decisive match, Seymour versus Greg Diakomihalis.

It was Seymour who struck first to get the first takedown and go up 3-0. A late escape to end the period with the score 3-1 in Seymour’s favor. Seymour, starting the second period in the top position, put on one tough ride to keep Diakomihalis down for the whole second period.

Seymour chose down in the third, and Diakomihalis let Seymour up to start the third, making the score 4-1. Adding another takedown to go up 7-1 before letting Diakomihalis up to make the score 7-2. In the end, adding in the ride time point to make the final 8-2 and securing the dual win for Lehigh. Final score 20-17. Seymour winning the last match of the dual gives Lehigh the win, but this was a total team effort. Lehigh is back in action Sunday when they host American University.
