NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TROY RALLIES IN THE FOURTH TO TOP NP-MANSFIELD (2026-01-17)

MANSFIELD — Troy rallied from a 9-point deficit going into the fourth quarter to pull out a 45-42 win over NP-Mansfield during NTL boys’ hoops action Saturday.

The Trojans were down 35-26 going into the final frame when they out scored NPM 19-7 to get the 3-point win.

Spencer Martin had 11 points, six boards, five assists, and four steals to lead Troy, with Evan Allen added 10 points, and five rebounds.

Pryor Teribury, Trey Teribury, Landon Cole, and Aiden Lawrence had five points each. Trey notched four boards, five steals, and three assists, with Cole getting five boards, and three steals.

James Roy, and Josiah Pesesky had two points apiece, with Pesesky grabbing four boards.

Jason Harer led NPM with 16 points, as Colin Oakes netted 10.

It was NPM up 12-5 after the opening quarter with Martin hitting a 3-pointer to lead the Trojans.

Troy did chip into the lead in the second, out scoring the Tigers 10-5 behind five from Pryor.

NPM came out strong in the third, out scoring Troy 14-11 behind eight from Harer, while Lawrence led Troy with five points.

Martin went off in the fourth, netting eight points, to lead the Trojan comeback. Troy went 8-for-12 from the free throw line in the frame, led by Allen going 4-for-4.

Troy (7-6) will host Sayre on Wednesday.
