Northern Tier Sports Report
For a third straight dual the Lehigh Mountain Hawks were back in the Caruso Complex. This time hosting conference foe the Navy Midshipmen. Navy coached by PA all time great Cary Kolat.

Starting the dual at 125 meant Troy’s Sheldon Seymour was back leading the team on the mat. Taking on Andrew Binni. After some back and forth, Seymour was able to break thru with the first takedown. Working diligently throughout the match he was able to take what his opponent gave him. Controlling the positions, winning the ties and grinding out the 5-2 decision win to put Lehigh up 3-0.

Like many times before when these two teams wrestle, it would be another close dual. And with this being the 106st meeting between the teams. The longest consecutive dual between two teams at the division 1 level. After Lehigh was able to build up a lead it was Navy that was able to climb back into the match. Going into the last match with Lehigh up 17-15. A winner take all match. And fitting it is the heavy weight battle tied going into sudden victory. A win by Lehigh’s heavyweight secured the dual win for Lehigh 20-15. Lehigh travels to Princeton to take on the Tigers Sunday January 18.
