Northern Tier Sports ReportTUNKHANNOCK — Towanda recently competed at the Tunkhannock Invitational over the weekend.
The Towanda 200 medley relay A team was 16th with Curtis Carter, Andrew Manley, Kellen Colton, and Xander Pratt, swimming 2:16.97, while the B team of Travyn Lewis, Matthew Weinman, Kenneth Carle, and Cooper Chamberlain was 18th in 2:27.56.
Carle (2:15.54) was 13th in the 200 free, with Pratt (2:36.06) taking 25th.
In the 50 free Brennick Lain (25.84), and Shane Maghamez (25.88) were 21st, and 22nd, as Colton (26.54) came in 29th.
Nolan Deacon (26.85) was 34th, Carter (28.55) came in 55th, Nick Post (30.18) was 69th, Weinman (30.49) took 72nd, and Pratt (31.36) finished 77th. Chamberlain (33.02) was 87th, Lewis (33.34) was 89th, Nathan Little (33.97) came in 92nd, and Bryan Mattison (35.21) finished 94th.
Colton (1:13.64) was 20th in the 100 fly.
Lain (56.71) was 17th in the 100 free, followed by Deacon (58.38) in 19th, Maghamez (58.46) in 20th, Carle (1:01.49) took 31st, Manley (1:07.14) was 49th, and Post (1:09.08) came in 53rd.
Lewis (1:14.97) finished 67th in the 100, followed by Mattison (1:20.80) in 73rd, and Little (1:21.40) in 74th.
Towanda’s 200 free relay of Deacon, Maghamez, Carle, and Lain was 10th in 1:46.17, while the foursome of Little, Colton, Carter, and Post was 20th in 1:59.73.
Deacon (1:06.31) was 13th in the 100 backstroke, while Maghamez (1:08.18) took 15th. Carter (1:21.61) came in 30th.
Manley (1:23.03) took 20th in the 100 breaststroke, with Weinman (1:28.41) in 26th.
